Martin Goulding new instructor for Live4guitar.com

Tuesday, August 27th, 2013

I’m very pleased to announce that i have been invited to put some lessons together for my friends at Live4guitar.com. I have known Emir Hot since around 2004 when he came to study in London at The Guitar Institute, going on to win the Guitar Hero competition in 2005 and touring as an artist for Lion Music….
See my first solo study “On the Beach” here! Inspired by players like Reb Beach and in general hard-rock players of the mid to late 1980′s with an emphasis on legato, tapping and bending/ vibrato techniques and which is viewable for free and is sold as a package including HD videos of the solo at full speed, half speed, 10 minute long breakdown video lesson, all tabs as Guitar Pro files as well as PDFs, and a set of backing tracks at different speeds to be used as you work through the study.

Martin Goulding to release Modern Rock/Metal App for iPad

Tuesday, August 27th, 2013

After finishing a year’s worth of work for Guitar World magazine in December 2012, writing the monthly “Last Licks” column which i enjoyed (special thanks to Jeff Kitts and all at the magazine), i decided to take a break to concentrate on some other projects and was soon approached by Leafcutter Studios with a view to producing a modern-rock/metal course/app especially for the Apple iPad format.
Designed to develop timing, accuracy and tone, with speed being the natural by-product, this course will help you to streamline your technique and boost your vocabulary of ideas when writing and improvising. The app is going through it’s final stages and is now in prototype form with a release due by the Autumn 2013. More news soon!
